£4K Raised for Shelter Scotland

Green Home Systems raise over £4,000 for Shelter Scotland!

Green Home Systems partnership with Shelter Scotland continues to grow strongly with the successful completion of a fundraising hike.

Over the past six weeks the Green Home System team has been raising money for a sponsored hike up Goatfell, which is the highest mountain on Arran and being 2,867ft high this was set as the fundraising target in pounds (£2,867).

On Saturday 28th August the team completed the hike by reaching the summit and not only did they meet their goal target, but they also went on to raise even more.

Overall the team managed to raise a whopping total of £4,054 from online donations and gift aid contributions.

Shelter Scotland is a charity which provides support and advice to people experiencing poor housing or homelessness poverty issues.

Our partnership with Shelter Scotland aligns the values of both organisations in their joint commitment to help struggling families and individuals live in a safe, secure, and affordable home.

The lack of affordable and good quality housing is having an impact on people’s lives across the country, leaving more and more people in poverty.

“Working with Shelter Scotland over the past few months have been extremely rewarding,” said Graeme Kerr, Sales Director at Green Home Systems.

“I am so delighted with the effort and time that our team have put in to support such a worthwhile cause.

We are extremely proud of the hard work and dedication of our team at Green Home Systems for climbing Goatfell and for raising an amazing amount of money for individuals and families who struggle with housing and homelessness issues within Scotland.

We are excited for future events between ourselves and Shelter Scotland.”

In addition to the £4,000 hike, Green Home Systems staff got together at the end of June to organise a large item and clothing drive for local Shelter Scotland Shops.

The team managed to deliver over thirty bags of clothing along with multiple household items.

These were delivered to the Ayr location and will be distributed to surrounding shops.
